Power Ethernet appoints Stuart Darling to head up its finance team

4th February 2013, LONDON – British Powerline Communications (PLC) innovator Power Ethernet has appointed Stuart Darling as its finance director.

Stuart is an experienced CFO for high-growth technology businesses within the consumer audio-visual and networked device sectors.  He was a key member of the team that successfully built Amino into a market-leading supplier of IPTV set top box software and hardware selling into more than 85 countries across the world as well as listing the company on AIM.

His significant experience and impressive track record in growing early stage hardware and software businesses will be the driving force behind Power Ethernet’s financial strategy going forward.

Power Ethernet provides Powerline Communications (PLC)-based networking solutions for homes and businesses. It solves the challenge of reliably connecting multiple Internet-connected devices in a home or office, offering users a better experience when transferring data and streaming video. It recently announced a major partnership with leading global energy-management specialist Schneider Electric, which will see the launch of a range of wall sockets that deliver data networking over pre-existing mains power cables.

Daniel Rogoff, managing director of Power Ethernet, said “I’m delighted to welcome Stuart to the team at what is an exciting time for the company. His in-depth understanding of how to build successful hardware and software business will be fundamental in helping us to develop and grow Power Ethernet and identify new business opportunities in our target markets.”
Stuart Darling commented: “In less than eighteen months, Power Ethernet has cemented its position in multiple markets and has created partnerships with leading global organisations. The rapid increase in internet-connected devices means high-speed network connections are at the forefront of many business agendas, and consumers are also looking to improve their connectivity. This is a great time for Power Ethernet and I’m looking forward to being part of the team that delivers the founding team’s vision.
