Power Ethernet demonstrates PE Socket to TV and Broadband installers

14 October 2011 – The Power Ethernet team demonstrated a prototype of the PE Socket at a leading independent distributor of satellite, TV & communication equipment at their national road shows.

One of the big challenges facing all media and entertainment service providers is the distribution of services around their customers homes. WiFi doesn’t offer the quality or reliability required for streaming high-definition video around the home, so service providers have to bear the cost of and time taken to run additional cabling as part of the installation process.

By using the existing electrical cabling within a home, the PE Socket greatly simplifies the installation process and enable service providers to easily reach any location within a building.
