Power Ethernet is a finalist for “Best Training Initiative” at the CEDIA Awards 2013
28th June 2013. After the success of Power Ethernet’s training programme, CEDIA has awarded Power Ethernet as one of the three finalists for the “Best Training Initiative” category. This prestigious CEDIA Awards celebrate excellence in home technology design, installation and integration from over 15 countries, setting the standard for CEDIA Home Technology. Each installation category is judged by an expert panel drawn from the worlds of architecture, interiors, property, IT, smart home journalism and, of course, custom installation to ensure the highest standards of scrutiny for each and every entry.
“Deploying Powerline Networking a whole home and business solution” is Power Ethernet’s workshop for Installers. The course explains how to capitalise on the explosion of connected devices by using new Powerline Socket Technology to install a wired data network using the existing power cables in a home or business without the cost, time or disruption of installing new data cables.
Power Ethernet’s workshop has been hugely successful within the electrical and AV installers community:
Julian Jonker from Brixtar Electricians Ltd who attended the training said "I can strongly recommend the training to any electrician who wants to prepare for the future of home automation and networking".
Dean Coe from CES Electrical said "Since completing the training, I have now installed the Powerline sockets for several customers, they are for me a must have in my tool box; their installation is easy and I have very satisfied customers. I strongly recommend the workshop for those needing an easy way to provide Internet access points in customer’s homes or business without having to run Ethernet cables. Going on the course gives you a broad spectrum of knowledge of the product to utilise to its fullest.”
Power Ethernet’s main objective is to partner with installers who want to develop their business and with the workshop it will enable installers to:
- Specify and install integrated Powerline networking solutions with confidence.
- Uncover new customers and business opportunities and enhance your business by delivering cost effective networking solutions to your customers to provide Internet access in every room.
- Use simple management software to test and deliver an effective secure solution for your customers.
- Deploy Powerline networks to work with complementary technologies such as structured cabling and relocation of Wi-Fi Access points to provide wireless coverage where it is needed.
The workshop equipes every participant with the tools needed to be ready to install a robust reliable data network and have the opportunity to then go on to benefit from being an Approved Powerline Installer.
